As a part of our ongoing commitment at South Pacific Steel Fabrication, we have once again achieved new goals in the past few months by completing major Fabrication projects, including a 15m tug for Fodico Marine Group.

In the last six months SPSF have undertaken a rare opportunity to work closely with Fodico Marine to design and purpose build a 15m tug to operate out of the Gladstone harbour. The main purpose behind this vessel is as a support boat, carrying out duties like anchor and line recovery, barge assistance, along with bolstering the presence of Fodico Marine group’s other vessels operating in and around the Gladstone region.

Over the past few months, Golding Contractors Pty Ltd have used the services of South Pacific Marine(Aust)/South Pacific Steel Fabrication Pty Ltd using the companies Blast and Painting facilities, with great success.

The work carried out was on large fabricated structures which was quite challenging but to the credit of the employees that South Pacific Marine (Aust) Pty Ltd have employed, the works were carried out professionally with excellent work ethics and keeping to the time frame and budget. The Project Services Superintendent from Golding Contractors Pty Ltd highly recommends the use of this company for Surface Treatment on any structural projects.
